Why do I write?
The last seven short stories I put "out there" for workshopping and/or reviews received the same basic feedback: Amazing and original premise, but it's too involved for a short story. This needs tender loving care. It deserves to be made into a novel or at the very least, a novella.
Somebody tell me, is this good? Am I a failed short story writer, or a potentially good novel writer? Or none of the above? Sigh.

Rejection and plenty of it means, you are a writer
Remember Mark Twain -
"If I had more time, I'd write a shorter story."
I know the feeling.
