I guess while I'm here, I'll reveal that this is the tune that sings me to sleep each night -- not this specific video version, because this is not my favorite one, but Richard Thompson and this wonderful song lull me off to Slumberland nightly. 

There is a part of me that identifies with the woman in this song. A huge part. Maybe a majority even. 

During my life, I conformed more than felt right, but no one ever owned me. Reason and Time have settled me down a great deal but there is animal in my eyes. I am a rare thing. I am a lost child but you wouldn't want me any other way.

And yes, the price you pay for the chains you refuse does tend to show on your face. And that's okay too.
